Proceedings from the conference "The Character of future conflicts: Pre-conflicts and conflict dynamics". Stockholm 16th of October 2001

Subjects as the dynamics in the South Asia security policy, the impact on the societal environment on breeding new conflicts, the "new" terrorism and the change from global to local war are high on the agenda today. On the 15th-16th of October 2001, a group of international experts were invited by the project "Character of future conflicts" in the Division of Defence Analysis, FOI, to share their views on the future conflicts in a symposium held in Stockholm, Sweden. The papers presented on the 16th of October are published in full length in this report.
