Abstract
This travel report presents some impressions from the ER-2001 conference on conceptual modelling. The report contains reviews, references and comments about the sessions. The major part of all sessions had a computer science perspective on modelling and discussed extensions or applications of UML. There were almost no "human factors" - or organisational perspectives on modelling besides some sessions with an ergonomical view. Of particular interest was the British Army´s effort to model their command and control system. The work has similarities with the modelling conducted in the Swedish Army´s ATLE project. The British Army has concluded that UML is not appropriate for the task why they have developed a new modelling language in order to solve some of the problems connected to the modelling of military command and control systems.
