LORA (LOw frequency RAdar) is generic multimode radar operating over the frequency range 235 - 800 MHz in the VHF/UHF-band. The system is designed as a general experiment tool for a range of both airborne and ground based experiments. The main application is high resolution SAR- (Synthetic Aperture Radar) and GMTI- (Ground Moving Target Indication) modes in airborne configurations but the system can also be used to evaluate new methods in ground based low frequency radar. This report describes the technical implementation that is based on the same basic principals as in the successful CARABAS system previously designed and used by FOI.
