Manual and documentation for model users for the software system SILVIA 9.1

The software system SILVIA is a tool to assess air defence systems engaged against an air attack on a tactical-technical level. The SILVIA development started in 1983 and it had to be modernised. An overview of the program structure has been made to make it easier to adapt SILVIA to future air defence systems. SILVIA now runs on a PC with Windows NT, 2000 and XP. A completely new GUI has been developed in Visual C++. This report is a new version of the specification of the GUI and describes the revised version of the GUI. SILVIA must be provided with data files that are scenario specific and with data files that are system specific as well. This report is written with the assumption that the user need to change the scenario specific data files and only with a small need to change system specific data and that the need to change system parameters does not require knowledge about the parameter itself.
