Abstract

Sweden has accepted responsibility to create a Nordic Battlegroup (NBG) for standby from 2008-01-01 as part of the EU battlegroup programme. This unit has different tasks and organization than traditional Swedish military units thus it adds new requirements to the technical systems that are intended to support Command and Control (C2) of the Swedish Armed Forces (SwAF). The project Ledning Bataljon is responsible for the development of the technical and methodological aspects of the proposed ground warfare C2 system (SLB). Business modeling and development of a bounding scenario is an important step in the process of finding the requirements that introduction of EU task forces is putting on the C2 system. This document presents a UML business model of the task force activities and puts it together in a bounding scenario that can be further analyzed to find demands that will affect a future C2 system for the SwAF.
