Abstract

In what way and by which methods decision basis is produced is an important part of decision-making. This report presents a selection of methods used in the context of a mission for the Armed Forces in order to decide on how the ability of the fighter system could be maintained. Methodological choices are based on a systems analysis approach and draws on wargaming for evaluating operational performance, methods to evaluate cost aspects of fighter system itself and the Armed Forces as a whole and on a so-called cost-effectiveness assessment analysis. The authors also leave their reflections on methodology and recommendations for future and how similar analyzes, could be carried out.
