Abstract

The project 'Phased Array Antennas for Radar Sensors', GUARD, has 2018-2020 further developed our knowledge and analytics in the area of phased array based radar sensors. As examples, the project has evaluated methods for simulation of AESA radar in type situations, evaluated models for the radar cross section of threat objects, and developed signal processing methods for suppression of clutter and interference. Further, we have developed a SAR measurement system for use from a small UAV. Participation in a number of national and international projects has made it possible to maintain contact with state-of-the-art at leading universities and research institutes. The project has contributed to further development of our existing knowledge in the field of phased array antenna technology, in order to assist the Armed Forces with knowledge in the field. This work was funded by the Swedish Armed Forces R&D programme for Sensors and low observables (FoT SoS, AT.9220420).
