Ballistics - Annual report 2023

This report gives a brief summary of the activities performed as part of the project Vidmakthållande ballistikkompetens. It also lists a number of related activities conducted in other projects. The aim of the project is to ensure availability of competence in the fields of internal ballistics, external ballistics and lethality analysis related to systems of indirect fire. The activities includes, among other topics, continued development of course literature in the fields of internal ballistics, external ballistics and lethality. A main topic for 2023 was a course for FMV employees. There has also been work related to a guide of usage of firing tables and the Swedish participation in NATO S4. A workshop regarding internal ballistics with participants from industry and governmental authorities was arranged. The activities performed in the project are selected from a prioritised list of suggested activities. This list is reviewed regularly and the current full list is included in this report.
