Status control Sonar 188

On behalf of the Swedish Armed Forces, FOI has carried out status control of hydrophone arrays of type Sonar 188. The work was performed in FOI's tank lab in the spring of 2024. The status control included measurements both at transmit and receive conditions for the 24 staves for each array. The work has included the measurement of receiver sensitivities for reception, and transmitter responses during transmission. Vertical and horisontal lobe shapes have also been extracted. The work shows that two of the three sonars work well. Sonar 3 however has six defective staves.
