Methods for reuse of higher value explosives

The Swedish Defence have a large stockpile of ammunition. The major part of this ammunition stays in storage until the day when it is to old to be used. This old ammunition has to be destructed. Most of today available methods for destruction do not use this old ammunition as a resource. In this report methods for reuse of those explosives in ammunitions that are interesting are looked at. It is mostly higher value explosives that are interesting for example materials like HMX. The report shows several methods for washing out the explosive materials and the two methods for reuse that has been found. The purpose of this report is to identify which methods that is available today in the area of reuse of ammunition.
