Abstract

The use of multisensor systems is on the rise in order to increase the performance of the systems and to reduce their vulnerability to countermeasures. This pilot study investigates the state of research in the field of countermeasures against multisensor systems. For some cases the report discusses how to counter the threat of mulisensor systems. The study points out: There exist a large number of multi sensor systems with more are under development. There is very little research available in the field why research in the field is proposed. Recommended research fields: Simulations with emphasis upon multi sensor systems with redundancy that are exposed to countermeasures. Studies of demonstrators with redundant sensors working at separate wavelengths. Exposing the system to different kinds of real countermeasure methods. To follow the stage of development in the field, continuous work in the field is needed.
