Abstract

A system of a several missiles with the ability to exchange information with each other will create new possibilities to it. For instance, the missiles can work together on target identification and target selection. Communication with an external command and control network will further increase the systems total effectiveness. The report describes how simulations can be used for tactical and technical studies of collaborating missile systems and gives a brief overview of the current research in the missile guidance field. A collaborating missiles system shows good potential against moving targets, particularly if the missiles can interact with the C3I system during the attack. Algorithms to control collaborating autonomous missile systems are not exclusively for weapon systems. They can preferably be used for UAV and UGV control systems.
