Abstract

In the Swedish Armed Forces there is an on-going development of the armed forces where the goal is the ability to execute operations more quickly and flexibly than today. This will make demands on the future radio systems, like robustness, capacity, stealth and availability that are higher than today´s radio systems can achieve. Our work has been to find an existing channel model for a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system which was suitable for us to modify. The selected channel model is 3GPP-SCM which we develop/change so that it will fit the future demands for the Swedish Defence Research Agencys simulation work. The changed channel model will be used for simulations of an adaptive radio node (ARN) in an urban environment. The results and simulations made to validate the model show that the channel model works according to the requirements.
