Abstract

Part of the acts made by the Swedish government under the Tsunami disaster 2004 showed difficulties in registration, cooperation and command. To facilitate these requirements a technical system is needed. This report discusses different kinds of methods for computer support that enable a better command, cooperation and resource management. A requirement specification was made after activity modelling and simulation in two available systems, MS Project and F-REX. Both system appear to be unsuitable for the purpose, but the conclusion shows that F-REX have a potential, if it is developed and the user interface is improved, MS Project on the other hand is to difficult and hard to use. An alternative that is preferred is to design a new computer support. The most important parts for the new computer support are structure in stored information and security in the system. With structured information the course of events can be retrieved and used for exercise or analyses to provide mistakes in future disasters.
