Abstract

MARULK 2006 is a project that has developed methods and computerized tools supporting evaluation and analyses on experiments and field trials in Swedish Armed Forces Command and Control Developmant Center in Enköping. The overall purpose is to support development of functions, units and systems. The tool has been used succesfully in the demonstration exercises executed in 2006 (Demo 06). An overall conclusion from implementing the project 2005 and 2006 is that the importance of logging data in future command and control systems is not enough emphazised. In our discussions with users and developers is often stated that MARULK-like functionality should be integrated in future command and control systems. Partly as a tool for analysing and evaluating operations, and also as a tool supporting mission planning and training. Continous performance- and systems development necessitates integrated tools, in the command and control system, supporting these features. Discussions on future design of war diaries have also arised. Our conclusion is that these questions have not been enough elucidated in the present command and control systems development.
