Abstract

In this report work is presented on simulations of various aspects of a ships flow induced wake signature. A simulation is presented for the wave induced by the ships movement. This simulation is verified against measurements. Similarly, the results from two simulations are shown, each using a different approach to simulating air bubbles in a ship wake. These studies aim at finding methods for detection of ship wakes and reducing wake signatures to avoid detection.
