Abstract

The objective of this master thesis is to investigate the properties of a specific solution method to 3-D electromagnetic wave propagation in water. The specific case is when a homogenous scatterer, uniform in one direction is taken into account. To do this a solution based on 2-D solutions inside a Fourier transform is described and coded in Fortran. The results from simulations show that this gives a much faster calculation of the fields than a more general time-domain code.
