This report summarises FOI's 2007 activities within the research area "Support to As-sessment, Evaluation and Analysis", which is linked to the Swedish Armed Forces taskings (to FOI) covering Direct OA Support, FoRMA and OA Methods. The former task is carried out using Operational Analysis groups placed within the Swedish Armed Foces HQ, and the latter tasks are carried out using project teams based at FOI. The Operational Analysis (OA) groups have supported long term planning, strategic and operational planning, force concept development, exercises and missions. The FoRMA project has during 2007 provided additional analytical support to long term planning. The OA Methods project has supported the OA-groups with development and evalua-tion of models and methods, with the aim of meeting immediate and long term needs. The Swedish Armed Forces benefits from the research within the research area As-sessment and Operational Analysis mainly through its planning and decision support function. Research area funding in 2007 totalled SEK 40.4 million, of which SEK 28.9 million covered the Operational Analysis groups.
