Abstract
This milestone report from the MOMS project summarizes the activities in 2008. Suitable sensors have been described in the form of technical description sheets. Also, possible sensor combinations have been analyzed and presented. Continued analysis of collected data, including the creation of masks for the images to make further processing possible, has been pursued. Various methods for detection and classification have been studied. Another major effort has been fusion of sensor data. Further data collections, both as laboratory experiments and as field trials, have also been part of the project, in order to fill gaps in the data base; e.g. concerning seasonal background variations, specially designed data collection for use in data fusion, and the completion of some sensor systems. A moving platform has been simulated in some of the field trials. The work has been presented in the form of reports, conference presentations and in discussions with the customer.
