Abstract

This is the nal report in project TOppS - Dynamic Service-oriented Framework for Opportunistic Sensors and Sensor Networks. The project has been conducted as a so-called strategic research core at FOI during 2007 - 2009. TOppS objective has been to present an architecture and a prototype for a service-oriented framework where heterogeneous sensors can connect, register, and be made reachable as information services for operators in Command and Control (C2) systems. The vision of TOppS, as well as similar initiatives around the world, are described. An architecture to enable the TOppS paradigm is proposed together with a prototype implementation which is described in its own chapter. Cooperations that the project has been involved in are described, as well as two publications that have been produced within the TOppS project. The project has nanced four thesis works which are brie y described. In conclusion the report is summarized with a chapter discussing challanges, bene ts and project results.
