This report presents a model-based approach for describing the document Strategic Guidance for the Swedish Armed Forces with the aid of a qualified description framework and an information management tool. The contents of the guidance document are analyzed and related to associated documents. These documents, such as the "The Swedish Armed Forces Traceability Model" and NATO Task List, are used to exemplify an extension of the model-based description. The framework used is the Ministry of Defence Architecture Framework (MODAFT) and the tool is MooD Business Architect. The report primarily presents findings that MODAF is applicable in relation to the content of the existing strategic guidance document. Fundamental conclusions address the need for consolidation of information in the guidance document, the Traceability Model and the Swedish Armed Forces Letter of regulation and the necessity of measurable strategic goals in the guidance document.
