Abstract

The report summarizes the activity that has been done in the project "Signature materials" within the time frame of 2008-2010. One reoccurring concept is multi spectrality i.e. one is aiming at low signature in several wavelength intervals simultaneously (for example radar, IR and optical wave lengths). Adaptivity is studied to address higher requirements on flexibility for defence material since international operations are conducted in varying environments. It is important that improvement of the signature in one wave length region does not deteriorate it in another. This is achieved by collaboration between experts of different types of threat within the same project. The work within the project has lead to development of more advanced materials and coverage of national and international research, mostly due international cooperation.
