Abstract

This report summarizes of the first year of the project Object-based security. A study has been performed to investigate the needs regarding information security and identify active research groups within the area in order to narrow the definition of the meaning object-based security. The study showed that ongoing research initiatives are well in line with the goals set by the project. It also showed that the Swedish Armed Forces have different needs of confidentiality, integrity and availability depending on where in the organization duties are performed. The project has been involved in several international collaborations this year, due to opportunities that occurred. This resulted in members of the project participating in three NATO groups and one EU group. The over-arching goal for these groups can be described as the ability to share information over technical borders.
