Abstract
This report summarize the works that has been done in the project "Dynamic resource management in tactical networks". The objective of the project is to find methods and algorithms to use the available communication resources as efficient as possible in military multi-hop networks while handling the dynamics induced by mobility. The project has primarily studied how multicast services in ad hoc networks should be handled and concluded that synchronized cooperative broadcasting seems to be the most efficient technology in many cases. Using cooperative broadcasting has small delays and allows for easy queue handling in the source nodes and can be expanded to easily exploit more advanced link technologies to further increase capacity. There are, however, still challenges with the technique that needs further studies.
