This is an instruction manual regarding equipment and method for the generation of methyl salicylate in gas phase. The generation equipment is designed to create a gaseous test atmosphere consisting of methyl salicylate. With the equipment, up to 3 grams of methyl salicylate can be vaporized per minute, which means that the equipment is suitable, for example, to check the tightness of mounted protective filters in shelters or vehicles. Known amounts of methyl salicylate can be generated with the equipment and with the help of analytical instruments or air sampling equipment (not included in this kit), air concentration can be measured and the protection factor calculated.
