Abstract

The FoT-project TIA (Teknik för informationsfusion och analys, Techniques for information fusion and analysis) conducts research and transfers knowledge in data driven intelligence analysis, focusing on methods, tools, and algorithms that could help intelligence analysts to manage data from the web and social media. The objective is to help the analyst in his/her task through (semi-)automatical detection of interesting data and patterns. Examples are techniques that aid in detecting deception and influence operations, and methods for deciding whether there is actually only one person behind two or several social media accounts. This report summarizes the work that has been done during the first of the project's three years. This year research has been conducted within the project concerning deanonymization, detection of false reviews. Further, we have started work on image analysis and continued working on our prototypes.
