Title Pilot study: Distance-based enrollment testing - A study on conditions for distance-based testing

The study that this report describes has aimed to investigate the possibilities of conducting the Swedish conscription enrollment test remotely or in other places than what is done today. The aim of the study has been to contribute to a direction proposal for continued work. The possibilities for completing the enrollment test at a distance or in other places have in the study been evaluated on the basis of two alternatives for implementation. The report presents two different alternatives and a number of different designs for these alternatives. The two alternatives are (1) implement an internet-based version for the enrollment test and (2) carry out the enrollment test at an alternative location. The study has been based on two data collection methods, partly a literature study and partly interviews. Information linked to general concepts has primarily been collected from the literature study, the goal for the interviews was to collect more specific information related to the enrollment test. The results of the study are intended to provide a first indicator of which alternatives may be reasonable to implement and to provide an overall focus for further in-depth work. The study presents a number of advantages and disadvantages for the alternatives and designs. The results indicate that all presented alternatives and their respective designs are theoretically possible to implement, but in the scope of the study no assessment of the suitability of different alternatives has been made.
