Abstract

Vulnerability assessment methodology for large bases, such as airfield bases, has long been and still is a subject of attention and improvement. Such large bases are complex enough to act as thematic examples where many different areas of expertise can gather to solve a common task, to assess the outcome of an attack. A workshop was held where participants from different areas of expertise discussed what types of assessments can be performed related to a few examples of bases and fixed installations, what the work process can look like, and what tools and information that can be used in the assessment process. In addition to the more technical aspects, there are a few specific challenges to consider when working with large bases. One such challenge is how to present results from the assessment in an accessible and understandable format. An existing tool has been further developed to include an increased capability for graphical result presentation.
