Evaluation of the simulation framework CMO – Command Modern Operations by Matrix Games

FOI has evaluated the software Command Modern Operations, Premium Edition (CMO) both in terms of usefulness as well as user friendliness. Through user training and interviews, the experiences of different users have been documented. Some specific functions of the software have been studied in more detail, for example the database handling and Monte Carlo simulation feature. According to this assessment, CMO is eligible to be a part of the toolbox for analysis and assessment of aerial warfare. However, it is important that the user attains sufficient understanding during their training to judge the validity, precision and applicability of any results from the software.
