Abstract
Noise radar uses, as distinct from traditional systems, a completely random signal shape in each pulse or in a continuous signal. This results in some interesting system characteristics, such as optimal LPI radar, maximal robustness to interference, no range and Doppler ambiguity etc. Last year, a theoretical study of noise radar was made and some suggestions for experiments were suggested. During this year the work has been focused on verification of the realization of noise radar and one of the suggested experiments have been performed with very successful results. The project has also participated with a poster in FOI´s result conference and a theoretical study on the conditions for use of noise radar technology in SAR-systems has been carried out.
