Abstract
As part of the Swedish Prosecution Authority's work within the Preparedness and Security sector, the Swedish Defense Research Agency (FOI) was tasked with compiling a feasibility study to explore the impact of the armed conflict in Ukraine on the operations within the Ukrainian judiciary and prosecution authorities. The report is a brief compilation of various factors that have proven to be significant for the Ukrainian judicial and prosecutorial system. The report includes a brief summary of various factors that have proven to be significant for the Ukrainian judicial and prosecutorial system. Based on these, questions have been identified within four different areas: decision-making processes, cybersecurity, physical security, and infrastructure and personnel resources. These issues may be of interest for Swedish law enforcement authorities to further explore from a preparedness perspective. The aim of the report is to identify areas for further research, and some of the key areas highlighted include discussions about the potential use of cloud storage for legal information during armed conflict, potential development of e-legal tools as preparedness measures, and the importance of maintaining resource management processes during times of crisis (training, disciplinary actions, allocation, etc.).
